The Blank Image Attack

We've all received links (html attachments) in our email. Here is a new twist on this cybercriminal fav: now that inconspicous-looking blank box is potentially dangerous, redirecting to the scammer's url. "Jeremy Fuchs, an Avanan Cybersecurity Researcher/Analyst, points out that this [the blank image attack] amounts to a new variation of existing attack methods." HTML attachments aren't new, but as Jeremy points out: "What is new and unique is using an empty image with active content inside ... that traditional services like VirusTotal don't detect." ⬇️
